Obituary for Nancy Anderson (Davis)

Born Nancy Sue Davis on February 22, 1934, in Athens, TN, she spent her childhood in Athens before attending finishing school, college and law school.
Nancy was a graduate of Radcliffe College in Cambridge MA, and The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Nancy was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1965. Nancy also attended Gulf Park College in Gulf Park Mississippi and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Nancy spent her career with the Chicago Title and Trust Company in Chicago, Illinois. She rose to the position of Vice President and Trust Council of the Trust Department.
Outside of her work devotion, Nancy loved the fine arts and traveling constantly attending art exhibits, symphonies, and plays. Nancy extensively traveled the globe.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lawson Anderson of Evanston, IL; parents, Judge and Mrs. Robert Asa Davis; sister,Ann Edington Davis; brother, Robert A. Davis, Jr; and nephew, James Outlaw Davis all of Athens.
Nancy is survived by her nephews, Robert A.(Sharon) Davis, III of Athens and Jac Edington Davis of Knoxville; grand-nieces, Jenny B.(Dallas) Dover of Nolensville and Emily Davis of Knoxville; grand-nephews, Robert A. Davis, IV of Cleveland, Ethan Davis of Knoxville; great-grand-nephews, Asa and Troy Davis of Cleveland and Andrew and Zach Dover of Nolensville; special cousins, Pam Drummond of Highlands NC and Debbie Hamilton of Athens; and very special friends, Joan Perkins of Chicago, IL and Nettie Ruth Brown of St. Augustine, FL.
The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
